Tip of the Month
To re-flower your poinsettia plant, follow these simple steps: cut back and shape around the 1st of April; continue to water and fertilize and set outside for the summer; prune and shape as required; about September 1st bring inside and set the plant where it will get only natural daylight; as the days get shorter the plant will begin to color up. This is known as photoperiod response, no artificial light from 5pm-8am only natural sunlight. Some people will actually put their poinsettia in a closet from 5pm-8am each day to ensure no artificial light exposure.
