Restaurant Management

This is an excellent time to begin a career in food services—the industry is growing at a phenomenal rate. The Thompson School’s restaurant management program prepares students for a leading role in occupations ranging from gourmet catering to restaurant management.

Our program brings students with a passion for the art of food preparation together with professors who have almost 100 years of collective professional experience. Courses combine classroom and laboratory work, encouraging a balance between individual motivation and collaboration.

Restaurant management students work with modern commercial equipment in two on-campus restaurants: Stacey's Buffet, an international buffet venue, and the new Restaurant at the Thompson School. In the process, students receive practical experience managing a kitchen, staging buffets, and catering events. Summer internships allow students to take advantage of the many learning and earning opportunities at Seacoast restaurants.
