The Thompson School of Applied Science, due to the nature of its hands-on course work, offers many services to the local community at low cost. Below is a synopsis of what we offer:
The Thompson School Greenhouse Facility offers plant materials for sale that have been cultivated and nurtured by our own Horticultural Technology students. Stop by for cut flowers, potted plants, bulbs, spring annuals, and perennials.
The Grooming Shop is a business operated by the students in the Applied Animal Science's Small Animal Care concentration and Grooming Certificate Program. Students groom pets for interested community members. Please visit the Grooming Shop page for more information.
The Culinary Arts and Nutrition students operate 2 on-campus restaurants that are open to the public. Stacey's Express and 180 Blue operate on specific days of the week and during specific semesters. Check out each page for details.
Forest Technology students mill wood from sustainably managed University woodlands and offer it for sale one time each year. Usually the sales are held in the fall. Check back for more information at the beginning of each fall semester.
