Architectural Technology
The architecture technology specialization expands on the broad construction-related core of the civil technology curriculum.
The program of study introduces students to the technical skills used in the architectural profession, focusing on computer-aided design (CAD) and building science related technologies. When coupled with recommended electives, these courses provide a substantial foundation for pursuing a career in the field of architecture. Students also take courses in engineering-based disciplines.
Some graduates continue their studies in accredited baccalaureate programs and have become registered architects. Others find employment in technical support positions in architecturally-related careers within the construction industry, with private companies, or in public organizations.
