Matthew Lannetta '03

My name is Matthew Lannetta and I graduated from the Thompson School in 2003. I was enrolled in the Food Service Management program, which is now Culinary Arts and Nutrition (CAN) and had a concentration in Culinary Arts.
The most memorable part of the Thompson School was the faculty. They were not only my teachers, but life mentors as well. After a two year program I was ready to pursue and achieve my career goals. I owe both my focus to detail and my attention to the importance of education to the many staff members that helped me grow from a child out of high school to a man that was starting a career. I truly enjoyed the amount of diversity in the student body and also the respect that comes along with being associated with a university of UNH’s stature.
When I left Thompson School I attended the Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 2005. I am currently living in Atlanta, Georgia with my wife and three kids. I am the Executive Sous Chef for The Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel and also support many large scale events. I have been with Marriott for almost 8 years and am planning to transition into an Executive Chef position within the next 6 months.
