Equine Management
Students who choose the Equine Management specialization learn the basics of horse handling, restraint, grooming, show preparation, and overall equine care. The program of study combines current technology with practical experience in bandaging, equine selection, computer ration balancing, equipment fitting and care, and farm and barn analysis.
Along with access to the UNH Riding Program and IHSA and IDA competitions, students work collaboratively to develop, manage, and stage an equine event that draws participants from around New England.
Graduates go on to careers in riding instruction, barn or breeding management, sales, horse show management, and veterinary support.
