Career Paths

A Thompson School student at the annual TSAS Combined Tests EventGraduates of the Applied Animal Science Program have many options available to them after graduation.  Many students choose to continue their education toward a four year degree program here at UNH or elsewhere.  Others move directly into a career. 

Careers in Dairy Management:

  • Herd manager
  • Agricultural sales and/or service specialist
  • Farm manager
  • Artificial insemination (AI) technician
  • Crop manager
  • Farm or farm business owner

Careers in Equine Management:

  • Barn manager
  • Breeding farm manager
  • Sales (tack shop, grain stores etc)

  • Riding instructor
